Calla lilies have a simple elegance that makes these beautiful flowers popular in many homes and in floral arrangements.
However, these plants need a dormant period during the fall and winter to encourage growth and flowering in the spring. This is achieved by moving the plant away from brightly lit areas and cutting back on the amount of water.
Light: Bright indirect light during growing season, but move to shady location during dormant season.
Watering: Keep soil fairly moist at all times when the plant is flowering. Once flowering is over, reduce watering to the point where the leaves start to wither and die to start it’s dormancy period. Pick watering back up when spring starts.
Fertilizer: Fertilize only during the growing season.
Calla Lilies comes in all different colors ranging from shades of pink, purple, white, to even black.
