Philodendron Heart Leaf
Hanging philodendrons are a great house plants due to their simple care. Their glossy, heart shaped leaves trail over pot rims with ease, making it a perfect plant to hang in your home.
Their slim stems can reach up to four feet long. For thick, full plants it is recommended that you pinch back the plant from time to time to prevent lanky growth. This is achieved by pinching off a portion of the plant above a leaf node, which is where the leaf attaches to the plant.
Light: bright indirect lighting
Watering: Slightly on the moist side during the summer. Allow soil to dry some between waterings, avoid constantly wet soil, and provide good drainage.
Quick tip: As a general rule for this plant, if leaves are yellowing it indicates too much water, if leaves are turning brown too little water.
