Belmacanda Lily / Blackberry Lily – Freckle Face
This is a plant with an identity crisis. Besides the two names that are listed here on the heading, it is also known as the Blackberry Lily because when its seedpod opens in the fall it reveals a cluster of seeds that look exactly like a blackberry. The plant is also known as Leopard Lily because of the spots on its flower. Whatever name you know it by, it is a lovely, easy-care perennial that deserves a place in any sunny garden.
