Amaryllis are one of the easiest and most beautiful bulbs to grow indoors. These stunning winter time flowers give a welcome sight during the snowy season. These plants are sometimes found in potting kits or as single bulbs. Plant bulbs in good potting soil and in pots with good drainage. Place the pointed tip up with about a third of the bulb above the soil.
Amaryllis are only available seasonally, typically around Christmas time.
Light: Bright indirect light
Water: Average watering, allowing soil to dry out some before watering again.
Notes: Sometimes flowers are top heavy and require staking to prevent the flowering stock from snapping.
Amaryllis come in a variety of colors mainly reds, whites, and pinks.
