Basin’s Best 19-3-5 Lawn Guard is formulated for use on established turf, and covers 10,000 sq. ft. per bag. It consists of a mix of 19% Nitrogen for growth, 3% phosphate for rooting and cellular energy, and 5% potash for strengthening established grass. Prodiamine, a pre-emergent, is also mixed in to prevent seeds from starting roots or new sprouts. This specialty product was designed to boost spring and summer plant growth and suppress weeds from sprouting for up to 90 days.

We recommend the first application date somewhere between 1st of March to 15th of April, with a second application between June 1st and 5th. Use in the spring when ground temperatures reach 50 degrees. (A great indicator is when lilacs wake up and start to bud.) Do not apply to lawns that have been newly seeded or are prepared for seeding. Especially formulated against crabgrass, poa annua (Annual Bluegrass), goosegrass, spurge, and chickweed.
