Thank you for your business this year and for coming to J&J Nursery and Garden Center! We try to bring in products that can help you with your water gardening hobby. While I have been working for J&J, my favorite part of the job is helping customers with fountains and ordering the right fountain for their house and landscape. Each landscape is unique, and people are looking for the right fountain for their yard. With the suppliers we have and their catalogs, people can find the fountain or statue that will be the right fit for their landscape. I appreciate being part of that process and having the opportunity to help.
Water gardening is not all work, and unfortunately, there are a lot of people who get frustrated with their pond and waterfall. Algae is the biggest complaint, but it is much easier to take care of than the notorious morning glory (bindweed) and Bermuda grass. Follow a regular maintenance schedule, and algae can be controlled; don’t expect a pond to be as clean as a swimming pool. Water can be clear, with some algae on the bottom to help provide a healthy environment for the water garden. I have many customers who love to sit around the water garden in the morning with their favorite beverage and in the evening after a day’s work at the office to unwind. Who doesn’t like the sound of a bubbling brook in the mountains? Having a water feature can bring that closer to home.
Have a great and safe holiday season!
Kindly,
Doug Hume
